Capabilities
Browse through the most common techniques used by researchers in the Nanofab. Not all the resources are in the cleanroom, but nearly all are located in the the same building as the Nanofab cleanroom in the Millennium Science Complex (MSC). Regardless of the location, they all fall under the MRI and the unified research instrumentation, open-access model, and billing system.
- Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy (FESEM)
- Optical Microscopy
- Ellipsometry
- Profilometer
- Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy (EDS)
- Sample Prep
- Electrical
Other Techniques
If you require additional characterization, there are plenty of other techniques available within the Materials Characterization Laboratory (MCL). They include:
- Confocal Raman spectroscopy
- Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)
- Utraviolet - Visible - Near Infrared spectroscopy (UV-Vis-NIR)
- Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM)
- Near-Field Optical Microscopy (NSOM)
- X-Ray Diffraction (XRD)
- Orientation Imaging Microscopy (OIM)
