Prof. Douglas Werner serves as Center Director with membership spanning across the University including faculty and researchers from the College of Engineering, Materials Research Institute, and Applied Research Lab. Prof. Werner has decades of experience participating with and coordinating large and diverse teams of researchers on high profile DARPA projects and MURI programs. His experience, coupled with CEARL’s and ARL’s track record of success in securing DE funding and strong historical collaborations with CoE, and MRI faculty will ensure early success for the Center. Kristoffer Greenert, ARL, will serve as an Associate Director of the Center. He will help bridge the connection between CoE, and MRI faculty efforts to ARL’s DE research and lab facilities. Dr. Bed Poudel, Research Professor in the Department of Material Science and Engineering, also serves as an Associate Director and brings strong expertise in materials research to CEDE.
